Peasenhall Pea Festival
Sunday 18th July 2010 11am-8pm

Peasenhall's unique Pea Festival is a great day out for all the family, including dozens of pea themed events. Celebrate this village's pea heritage by competing in the World Pea Podding Championships or try your luck at obtaining the National Pea Throwing title. If you're a crack shot, why not take part in Suffolk's only Pea Shooting contest. If you favour the flavour, try taking part in the pea eating competition. The only catch is that you'll have to use chopsticks.

If you're proud of your pea based knowledge (and who isn't?) you'll be chomping at the bit to have a go at the Pea Quiz. Feeling lucky? Try guessing the number of peas in the jar. Don't forget to take part in the Great P Draw. There's a lot at stake. You could win a year's supply of peas to enjoy until next year's Pea Festival.

Throughout the day, you can enjoy a variety of live entertainment acts, feast yourself at the famous Pea and Pork BBQ sausage sizzle or kick back with a drink from the licenced bar. We've got loads of other delectable pea treats in store. Have you ever tried pea ice cream? Now's your chance!
